Juniperus Chinensis ‘Pfitzeriana’

Green Pfitzer Juniper

Fast-growing evergreen conifer with a broad, spreading habit and slightly arching form. Over time, it develops into a dense, vigorous shrub with flexible branches that extend horizontally while maintaining a graceful, flowing structure. Its overall silhouette is wider and more expansive than many other junipers, giving it strong architectural value in landscape designs.

The foliage consists of fine needles and scale-like leaves, creating a texture that is both soft in appearance and slightly prickly to the touch. Its coloration ranges from medium green to gray-green, sometimes showing subtle bluish tones depending on growing conditions. This color remains relatively consistent throughout the year, appearing brighter and more vibrant in full sun.

Highly adaptable, Juniperus chinensis ‘Pfitzeriana’ thrives best in full sun and well-drained soil but tolerates a wide range of conditions, including poor, dry, or slightly alkaline soils. Once established, it demonstrates excellent drought tolerance, along with strong resistance to urban pollution and salt exposure. It is widely used for mass plantings, slopes, informal hedges, and as a large-scale groundcover in landscape compositions.
