Juniperus Chinensis ‘Mint Julep’

Mint Julep Chinese Juniper

Compact, fast to moderately growing evergreen conifer with a broad, arching and vase-shaped habit. It forms a dense, fountain-like shrub over time, with gracefully spreading branches that often curve outward and slightly droop at the tips. The foliage is composed of fine, scale-like needles in a bright mint-green to rich green color, maintaining a fresh appearance throughout the year.

Its color remains consistently green, with a slightly brighter tone in full sun and a softer, deeper green in partial shade. Compared to more upright junipers, ‘Mint Julep’ is valued for its flowing, fountain-like structure and soft, textured appearance.

It performs best in full sun and well-drained soil. Once established, it is highly drought-tolerant and very adaptable. It is widely used in foundation plantings, hedges, slopes, mass plantings, and as a soft architectural accent in mixed landscapes.
