Taxus cuspidata ‘Morgen’

Japanese Yew ‘Morgen’

Taxus cuspidata ‘Morgen’ is an evergreen conifer with a compact, upright to broadly pyramidal habit, forming a dense and well-branched shrub. This selection of Japanese Yew is valued for its refined structure, dark green foliage, and excellent adaptability in landscape settings.

The foliage consists of flat, soft, dark green needles arranged along the stems. The dense branching creates a fine texture and a formal appearance throughout the year. Female plants may produce bright red fleshy arils that provide additional seasonal interest.

Taxus cuspidata ‘Morgen’ prefers partial shade to full sun and performs best in moist, well-drained soils. It adapts well to various soil types, including clay and urban conditions, and responds well to pruning. It is suitable for foundation plantings, hedges, mixed borders, specimen planting, and shaded landscapes.
