Pinus Sylvestris ‘Glauca Nana’

Dwarf Blue Scots Pine

Evergreen conifer with a compact, slow-growing, rounded to broadly pyramidal habit, forming a dense dwarf shrub with a refined ornamental appearance. It is a selected dwarf form of Scots Pine valued for its compact size, blue foliage, and excellent year-round structure.

The foliage consists of short, slightly twisted needles grouped in pairs. The needles display an attractive blue-gray to silvery-blue coloration, giving the plant a softer and more refined appearance than the species. The dense branching and compact habit make it a strong choice for smaller landscapes.

Pinus sylvestris ‘Glauca Nana’ prefers full sun and well-drained soil. It adapts well to sandy, rocky, acidic, and moderately poor soils. Once established, it shows excellent drought tolerance, good cold tolerance, and strong resistance to exposed conditions. It is ideal for rock gardens, foundation plantings, small gardens, mixed evergreen beds, and specimen planting.
