Weeping Eastern White Pine

Evergreen conifer with a strongly weeping, irregular habit, forming a graceful specimen tree with long, cascading branches. It is a selected form of Eastern White Pine valued for its dramatic silhouette, soft foliage, and unique architectural character.

The foliage consists of long, soft, flexible needles grouped in bundles of five. The needles are blue-green to silvery green and create a fine, airy texture. The drooping branches produce a flowing, curtain-like appearance that varies naturally depending on training and support, making each specimen distinctive.

Pinus strobus ‘Pendula’ prefers full sun to light shade and well-drained, slightly acidic soil. It performs best in sandy or loamy soils and does not tolerate prolonged wet conditions or heavy soil compaction. Once established, it shows moderate drought tolerance and good cold hardiness. It is ideal as a specimen tree, focal point, lawn accent, or in large ornamental gardens where its weeping form can be displayed.
