Juniperus Chinensis ‘Mountbatten’

Mountbatten Juniper

Evergreen conifer with a strong, upright to broadly pyramidal habit, forming a dense and substantial landscape specimen. Its branching is moderately open but well-structured, giving it a full, slightly informal outline compared to tighter columnar junipers.

The foliage is composed of fine, scale-like leaves with occasional juvenile needle growth. Its color is a rich green to blue-green, often deepening in winter and maintaining a solid, dense appearance year-round.

Juniperus chinensis ‘Mountbatten’ prefers full sun and well-drained soil, adapting well to sandy, loamy, and rocky conditions. It does not tolerate prolonged wet or poorly drained soils. Once established, it shows high drought tolerance, good cold hardiness, and strong resistance to urban pollution. It is suitable for hedges, windbreaks, large screening plantings, and informal vertical accents.
