Juniperus Scopulorum ‘Wichita Blue’

Wichita Blue Rocky Mountain Juniper

Evergreen conifer with a strong, upright, broadly pyramidal habit, forming a dense and stately vertical specimen. Its growth is uniform and well-structured, with a slightly fuller outline than narrow columnar selections, giving it a solid landscape presence.

The foliage is composed of fine, scale-like leaves. Its color is a vivid silvery-blue to steel blue, one of the most intense blue tones among Rocky Mountain junipers, retaining strong color year-round without fading.

Juniperus scopulorum ‘Wichita Blue’ prefers full sun and well-drained soil, performing best in sandy, rocky, or lean soils. It does not tolerate wet or poorly drained conditions. Once established, it shows very high drought tolerance, excellent cold hardiness, and strong resistance to wind and urban conditions. It is ideal for privacy screens, windbreaks, vertical accents, and large landscape plantings.
