Evergreen conifer with a vigorous, upright to broadly pyramidal habit, forming a dense and substantial presence in the landscape. Its growth is strong and somewhat irregular compared to tighter selections, giving it a more natural but still structured form.
The foliage is composed of fine, scale-like leaves with occasional juvenile needle growth. Its color is a deep green to blue-green, remaining rich and dense throughout the year. In full sun, it may show slightly brighter tones, while shaded growth can appear darker and heavier.
Juniperus chinensis ‘Fairview’ prefers full sun and well-drained soil, adapting to a wide range of soil types including sandy, loamy, and rocky conditions. It does not tolerate prolonged wet soils. Once established, it shows high drought tolerance, good cold hardiness, and strong resistance to urban pollution. It is suitable for hedges, windbreaks, large screens, and informal vertical plantings.
