Evergreen conifer with a low, spreading habit, forming a dense, wide shrub. Its branches grow in layered, slightly arching sprays, creating a natural, textured groundcover with a somewhat feathery appearance. It is one of the most widely planted Juniperus sabina cultivars due to its reliability and adaptability.

The foliage is composed mainly of fine, scale-like leaves, often mixed with juvenile needle-like growth. Its color is a rich green to gray-green, maintaining a consistent appearance throughout the year. In winter, it may develop subtle bronze or purplish tones. When crushed, the foliage releases a strong, characteristic odor typical of Juniperus sabina.

Juniperus sabina ‘Tamariscifolia’ prefers full sun and well-drained soil, thriving in poor, sandy, rocky, and moderately dry soils. It tolerates harsh, exposed conditions very well. Once established, it shows high drought resistance, moderate pollution resistance, and moderate salt tolerance. It is ideal for groundcover, slopes, rock gardens, and erosion control.
