Evergreen conifer with a low, spreading habit, forming a dense, compact shrub. Its tightly branched structure creates a thick, uniform groundcover with excellent coverage, while maintaining a neat and well-defined appearance.
The foliage is composed mainly of fine, scale-like leaves, occasionally mixed with juvenile needle-like growth. Its color is a deep green to dark green, remaining attractive throughout the year. During winter, the foliage may develop subtle bronze or purplish tones. When crushed, the foliage releases the characteristic strong scent of Juniperus sabina.
Juniperus sabina ‘Moor-Dense’ prefers full sun and well-drained soil, thriving in poor, sandy, rocky, and moderately dry soils. It adapts well to exposed locations and difficult growing conditions. Once established, it exhibits high drought resistance, moderate pollution resistance, and moderate salt tolerance. It is ideal for groundcover, slopes, rock gardens, foundation plantings, and erosion control.
